1. Luxor: Medinet Habu, Valley of Nobles, and Deir Private Tour
Step back in time to ancient Egypt on this private tour to some of Egypt’s most popular historic sites in Luxor. Get to know the history of Medinet Habu, the Valley of the Nobles, and Deir el-Medina as you explore with your own personal Egyptologist guide. Begin your trip with pickup from your hotel, then head to the West Bank of Luxor. Arrive first at Medinet Habu, where the burial temple of Ramses III can be found, one of the city's most important religious monuments. Medinet Habu’s entrance is 63-meters wide and 22-meters tall and bears a representation of the pharaoh himself. Then, continue to the Tombs of the Nobles, where you can find more than 500 tombs belonging to the members of the Egyptian aristocracy. Take a look inside a number of the tombs to admire their decoration. Having been less attractive to grave robbers, these tombs tend to be much better preserved than the royal tombs. Later, follow your guide to the final stop of the tour, Deir el-Medina, an ancient Egyptian village that was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back off at your hotel or selected location.
