What people are saying about Tomb of Cecilia Metella

Our family, had a wonderful time with our guide, Klaas, despite heavy rain and a stop to change a punctured tyre. Since there were only 4 of us, Klaas took a lot of time to ensure our safety when crossing the road, share with us his knowledge about Rome and his own experience riding bicycle solo from Europe to Asia. We stopped by to have enjoyable lunch, simple but delicious pasta with great conversation with our guide. After we reached the end of the tour, Klaas shared with us his Dutch snacks. I would recommend Klaas and this company to everyone. They are very professional and even offered to refund us in full, when we were already at their shop, if we chose to cancel it because of the rain forecast. You can tell that they are good people and we glad that we went ahead with it although our shoes were soaking wet and we had to buy 3 new shoes . The e-bikes were in good conditions with front pocket to keep your phone, poncho and water bottles. 5 stars tour

One of our favorite things we have EVER done in Rome. I highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Rick, was so kind and so attentive in making sure everyone in the group was doing well. He pointed out potential hazards and when we would need to walk our bikes. We all just loved him. It says “light lunch” on the tour info, but we had plenty of food left over. The E bikes are rugged and easy to use. You get to ride them on the Appian Way which you don’t want to do for a long time, but it will give you a sense of what traveling was like back then. You see incredible lengths of aqueducts and the descent into the catacombs and the things you see and learn down there were awesome. Rick also stopped along the way many times to point out historically significant structures. His explanations were always insightful. We had a mixture of bike riders on our tour, including someone who hadn’t ridden a bike in 25 years. We all made it just fine.

Excellent tour that takes you to so many interesting places in just half a day. The city walls, aqueducts, catacombs, Via Appia, etc. One of the best things we did in Rome! Highly recommended. Prepare for a bumpy ride on Via Appia, but the e-mountain bikes make it easy and fun. Did this tour with my 13-year old and he had a huge smile in his face the whole day. It’s a great activity for families with teens as well.

Beautiful experience! We discovered a wonderful part of Rome. Our guide Alessandro was attentive to our safety and precise and attentive to explanations. Lunch is also excellent.

An incredible day of adventure. Can’t recommend it enough.
