The tour of the old fish market area and food stalls is fantastic. It gives you a great overview of the area and history and what all the crazy stuff for sale is. This is followed by a quick tour of Ginza before the sushi rolling class which is a lot of fun. Come hungry because you can buy whatever you want to sample at the market and you’ll have plenty of sushi to eat after the class. The tour is suited well for families and couples, probably wouldn’t do it if I were solo.

A fun and interesting experience. The instructor, Sumida-san, is an actual descendant of a samurai and he wants to pass down the culture and heritage to the next generation. You’ll learn about the samurai sword as well as do a bit of sparring and cutting. And you will be provided with a samurai outfit for your training! Highly recommend this.

I had such a great time and was happy to learn about the authentic Japanese cooking style especially with fresh seasonal ingredients. I was so impressed. Satoru explained so much about both food and culture and was happy to learn about all of it. Highly recommended to those who are interested in exploring the authentic Japanese cooking.
