This is a great trip to get your bearings in Tokyo and would recommend doing it on your first day. The busses are very efficient and easy to use. The only issue is that unlike many major other cities, most of Tokyo’s major sites aren’t accessible/visible by road so you do need to get off the bus and walk for a few minutes if you want to see everything… that being said the info you recieve about each site is at a good level

It's great that you can choose between 3 lines. They all meet at the Mitsubishi Building so it's easy to switch. I can complain about the findability of the Shinjuku stop and the infrequent departure of the green line that stops there. Also that when you book via get your gide, as is usual in other cities, you are not provided with a timetable via maps. Otherwise recommended!

Be sure to check if you can hop on and hop off at any point initially. I took a cab in to Shinjuku station because it was the “meeting point“ I found out later that I could have gotten on that other stops and saved myself 1400¥. The same is true with the other hop on hop off bus is in Osaka and Kyoto. When you’re planning activities be sure to check the proximity to hotels where you’re staying and to train stations.
