What people are saying about Tirana District

Our guide, Endri, met us promptly at 9:00 and we set off for Apollonia. During our drive, Endri filled us in on some Albanian history, culture, customs, and geography. Upon our arrival at the archeological site, we were met by a professional archeologist, Arjan. He gave us a very descriptive tour which included a small museum housed in part of a 13th century AD Orthodox Church complex. After this informative visit, we left for Durres with a stop en route at a wonderful local village restaurant where we ate incredibly good seafood. In Durres, we walked the waterfront and visited the 2 century AD amphitheater, which was just partially excavated starting in the 1960’s. Our trip culminated with ice-cream and coffee at a great shop before our return to Tirana. There is a lot of walking and riding on this tour and it was a long day, but worth it. Our guide, Endri, was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. We would request him again.

Endri was a fantastic guide, explaining not only what was saw, but in the trip there he talked about the culture of Albania. I really liked the archeologist at Apollonia, he did a fantastic job explaining both the history and the cultural significane. This was a great experience.

My trip was excellent. The organisation, guides, food we ate, the places we visited etc shotly everything was super. Thank you very much Mimi and getyourguide for my best day in Albenia
