It was a nice day with clear skies to do some hiking. The guide was professional and explained the history of Gandria and the culture in different languages to cater to everyone in the group. Tip: make sure to wear comfortable shoes, and for this time of the year take a light jacket with you. We started at late morning ( 10am) and it was still a little bit chilly.
First, you will see the more exotic animals as you enter the zoo. Later on, you will be able to meet pet animals like Guinea pigs, ducks, geese, swans, African goats, and turtles. When you arrive, buy a food bag at the entrance to allow you to get up-close with the animals. On the shady part of the park there is a picnic area next to the playground. Next to it, you will see a wooden house that is perfect for birthday parties. All around the park there are zones to relax in, sit, and watch the animals. There is also a minicar park for action-loving kids. Snacks, beverages, souvenirs, and information can all be found at the entrance.

After the safety briefing, you will start immediately with a slide of 30 feet. This canyon in particular is ideal for families and large groups with braver and less brave people. Each descent offers the possibility of slowly rappelling down, or for the more courageous, the rappelling points become slides up to 50 feet with jumps up to 30 feet into emerald-green pools. As you continue deeper into the canyon, you’ll eventually reach pathways no more than 6-feet wide for a true canyoning experience. After about 1.5 hours in the gorge, you’ll jet down the last slide that leads directly into Lake Vogorno. After swi...
