The journey from Thessaloniki takes 3 hours with one stop of 15 minutes. It takes 5 minutes to stop to take pictures of all the monasteries. The tour of 2 monasteries is 45 minutes each. Lunch is around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Return is about 3 hours. Women are not allowed to wear pants to enter monasteries or have bare shoulders. Men must not have bare knees. At the entrance to the monastery, scarves cost 3 euros. Entrance to the monastery is 3 euros in cash. Negative; The problem is that if you don't go to lunch, you are left to yourself. They forgot one passenger on the trip! But for the rest I would give 5 stars

The guide was very nice and helpful. The views are breathtaking, definitely worth the 3 hour trip. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Would definitely recommend not missing out on this trip. Keep in mind that women cannot wear trousers but can only wear a long skirt/dress to enter the monasteries. Men need to wear long pants and both genders cannot wear a sleeveless shirt.

This is a trip to a famous, must-see touristic place. It is a long trip from Thessaloniki, but one worth making at least once in a life-time, because Meteora is unique and indeed incredibly beautiful. The guide was very nice and supportive, and the trip was very well conceived: the two monasteries selected to visit were at the same time easily accessible and offering great perspectives of the entire area and the other monasteries. The restaurant in the near-by village also offered a nice view of Meteora from below, besides excellent Greek cuisine. In short, the trip is great value for money. Do not hesitate.
