Board a minibus and officially begin your unforgettable journey to this true wonder called Meteora. During the guided tour, see all six of Meteora's monasteries and admire the interior of three of them. View some of Meteora’s most spectacular hidden gems like the ancient Chapel of Doupiani and the magnificent St. George “Mandilas” cave. Discover the “other side” of Meteora as you explore. Learn the truth about why the hermits settled in these imposing caves a thousand years ago and how the monks achieved the impossible. As the trip comes to a close, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views and capture some amazing photos that you will cherish forever. At around 16:30 get transferred back to Kalabaka’s train station or at a nearby local restaurant if the optional lunch is selected. Enjoy approximately an hour of free time to explore Kalabaka on foot before taking the 18:22 train back to Thessaloniki.

To begin your journey you will need to first redeem your e-ticket for the 08:56 departure from Thessaloniki railway station to Kalambaka. Embark on a scenic train ride through the Greek countryside and admire the beautiful landscapes. At 12:03 arrive at Kalambaka train station, where your guide will be waiting for you, holding a signboard with your name and will transfer you to your hotel. In the evening you will be picked up from your hotel for the Meteora tour, which will provide you with an absolutely amazing experience. Then you will have free time to explore the area.  The next morning at 09:00 you will be picked up from your hotel and be taken on your selected tour. During this tour, admire how simply the hermits settled in the caves of the rocks a thousand years earlier and you will learn about the history, the myths and the secrets of Meteora that only your local guides knows. At 18:00 the minibus will transfer you back to Kalambaka train station for your trip back to Thessaloniki. The train departs at 18:22 and arrives in Thessaloniki later in the evening.

Departing at 8:30 AM, pass by the unique landscape as it alternates between mountains and sea. The route crosses by the foot of the mythical Mt Olympus, where in ancient times it was believed to be the residence of the 12 Gods. Next, it leads you to Palaeofarsalos train station. There you have to change trains and wait for 1 hour until you board the train that leads to Kalampaka. Here in the greater surrounding area, lies the home of the ancient tribe of Mirmidones, a group of legendary ancient warriors who had the mythical Achilles as their leader, who played an important role in the outcome of the Trojan War. In Kalambaka, arrive at approximately 12:05 PM. A guide will be there holding a signboard to welcome you and start the tour. After which, you will on-board on a luxury mini-bus drive, sit, relax and enjoy the unique landscape. Begin your tour of the Meteora monasteries. Admire the amazing Christian architecture, and discover how monasteries have been influenced over time, having existed for over 700 years. Ask the specialized guide plenty of questions and take photos at fantastic viewpoints. After the tour ends you will be transferred to Kalabaka's city center where you will have over an hour to spend under the shadow of giant rocks either having lunch or a coffee. You will get all the necessary information on how to get to the train station, which is around 5 minutes walk from the city centre. You must be at the train station no later than 6:10 PM in order to catch the train back to Thessaloniki.

On the morning of day 1, you will travel independently by train from Thessaloniki Train Station at 8:18 AM to Kalabaka. Along the way admire the beautiful Greek landscapes. Choose to travel with first or standard class train tickets and whether to stay in a 3-star or 4-star hotel. You will be picked up from Kalabaka train station at 11:30 AM and be transferred to your hotel. You will have time to have lunch and prepare yourself for the majestic Meteora Rocks sunset tour. You will be picked you up for the tour and returned to Kalabaka town for a short walk. On day 2, you will be picked up from your hotel and join a comprehensive Panoramic Meteora tour or a Meteora Hike. For the next four hours, experience the beauty of the unique phenomenon of Meteora and the holy monasteries on top of the rock giants. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel where you can get ready for your departure back to Thessaloniki. Your train departs at 5:15 PM and arrives back in Thessaloniki at approximately 8:30 PM. There is a change at Palaiofarsala Train Station with a waiting time of approximately 1 hour.

Journey from Thessaloniki Railway Station to Kalambaka where your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you holding a signboard with your name on it and will transfer you to the Meteora monasteries via minibus.  Visit three monasteries and the hermit caves of Badovas on a 5-hour tour.  At the end of the day, your driver will transfer you back to Kalambaka, where you will have the time to stroll around and have a light lunch (not included). Arrive back in Thessaloniki at 8:31 PM.

Day 1 Trains are the most spacious and comfortable mode of travel in Greece. Catch the train to Kalambaka from Thessaloniki railway station and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the Greek countryside. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka, at around 11:31 AM, your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the train station holding a signboard with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel. Late in the afternoon, your VIP minibus will pick you up from the hotel to join the Meteora Sunset Tour to admire breathtaking views of Meteora and to discover the hidden gems of this place. Day 2 For the next morning, you will the chance to choose the activity you wish between a half-day morning tour of Meteora to see the main attractions, the monasteries of Meteora with a VIP minibus or a hiking tour of Meteora to walk among the rock giants. Experience amazing sceneries and visit monuments of the Byzantine period, the monasteries of Meteora and learn their history. After this morning tour, at around 1:00 PM, the bus will drop you back to your hotel. The evening will be free for you to explore the area on your own. Day 3 Have the morning free. In the evening, a taxi transfer from your hotel to the local train station at Kalambaka will be arranged for you. At 5:15 PM, the train will depart from Kalambaka and arrive at 8:31 PM to Thessaloniki.

Your driver will pick you up to transfer you to the train station. At 5:15 PM, the train departs and you will switch trains at Paleofarsalos, arriving back to Thessaloniki at 8:31 PM.

At around 13:00 the minibus will drop you back to your hotel, and in the afternoon you will have free time to explore the area on your own. On the third day, you are free to explore Kalambaka or the nearby village of Kastraki on your own. At 18:00 you will be transferred back to Kalambaka Train Station for your trip back to Thessaloniki. The train departs at 18:22 and will arrive in Thessaloniki later on that evening.

Start the tour at Central Railway station of Thessaloniki where the train departs at 8.00 AM. Pass by the foothills of the mythical Mt Olympus, which was the residence of 12 Olympian Gods. End at the Paleofarsalo train station where you will have to change train and wait 1 hour, until you board the train that leads to Kalampaka. Palaiofarsalos is near where the ancient Mirmidones tribe originated from, the legendary ancient warriors lead by Achileus who played an important role in the Trojan War.  Hop on another train to Kalambaka where you will be met by a guide to welcome you. Begin your breathtaking tour of Meteora rocks and marvel at the breathtaking geological formations at sunset. After this, you will be driven back to your hotel in Kalambaka for free time to explore the city and your overnight stay.  On the second day, choose between a midday tour or a hiking tour. After the tour, you will be driven back to Kalambaka where you will have free time to spend under the shadow of the giant rocks.
