Full description

Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands and is well-known for its commercial harbor. Stop at Spido for a 75-minute boat tour and see Rotterdam’s imposing skyline, cutting-edge architecture, harbors, shipyards, and docks. Visit the picturesque city of Delft, the birthplace and final resting place of Dutch master Johannes Vermeer, with its old and new churches, and the Town Hall. Visit De Delftse Pauw, a factory specializing in handmade Delft Blue pottery, the most coveted porcelain since the 17th century. Not a real tour. You pretty much get a private driver from one city to another. There is no tour guide so you are on your own to understand what you are looking at..

The ceramic demonstration in Delft was fascinating, especially watching the decorator hand paint the characteristic blue onto the raw pieces. The boat tour of the harbor of Rotterdam was on a huge and comfortable boat and allowed us to see a truly gigantic ocean harbor at work.
