Amsterdam: Windmills, Cheese & Clogs Countryside E-Bike Tour

1. Amsterdam: Windmills, Cheese & Clogs Countryside E-Bike Tour

Leave behind the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam by taking a ferry to the countryside and embarking on an e-bike tour just outside the city. Cycle through Broek in Waterland past canals, bridges, and historical farms with a guide. Then, visit an authentic cheese farm to see how cheese and clogs are made. Start your bike tour by taking the ferry to the north side of Amsterdam. See the Amsterdam Tower and the Eye Film Museum, a unique introduction to Amsterdam's Old Holland area. Afterward, cycle through the natural area of Waterland. This flat landscape offers views of moments that feel lost in time, as you encounter expansive fields and traditional Dutch farmers going about their daily lives. Cycle through the ancient villages of Broek, where time seems to have completely stopped. The land is protected by kilometers of dikes and pumping stations, allowing picturesque villages to blossom, and the region to become a hot spot for outdoor activities on land and on water. Finally, visit a windmill, and a local farm that produces cheese that is exported around the world.

See the best Dutch paintings from the Golden Age, wander through beautiful day-lit galleries and enter a small city full of beautiful miniatures. I’v visited Amsterdam many times and this is by far the best experience to say the least. SUP in the canals of AMS allowed me to see the city from a different angel, and the images I saw are very different. Getting the feet wet also helped me to get connected to the city in a different way. Special thanks to my tour guide Elaine who knows the city and the buildings very well. We had a wonderful time in the canals together. I would highly recommend this activity and the tour to others have have not experienced it yet. George

we had an absolutely amazing time! the E Bikes make the trip effortless and allows you to really enjoy the scenery and time! seeing the calf's and the cheese factory was a highlight. the trip took 4.5 hours overall but there are no complaints about it over running. was a joy to have it last longer then it should have. our tour guide was also amazing. would massively recommend for all ages coming to amsterdam

Wonderful experience to see the countryside in spring so close to the city. We cycled along canal paths, next to wildflowers, sheep and cows. Be prepared for changing weather. It was raining when we started but soon cleared to a hot sunny day. The e-bikes made it very easy for all fitness levels. Highly recommend!

Claudette was really switched on. She is an excellent guide. We highly recommend this tour.

Loved this bike tour. Would definitely recommend to others.
