This was a great experience. The guides know a lot about the island and Mt Tiede and the sky. They had a lot of energy and were great to listen to. I loved the photos they provided. The only thing that was lackluster was the "authentic" Canarian meal at the local restaurant at the beginning of the event. My husband and I love authentic food and had already had a lot more authentic meals before this one. The potatoes didn't have the canarian sauce and the tirimasu was stale. The meal overall was not the best but from there the night was a lot better. We would hire the guides again, watch the sunset and look/learn about the sky. We would skip the meal.

The tour was cool. You will see a lot of spectacular places. Our guide told us many interesting facts. The stops could have been a little bit longer, but that would make the tour literally "fullday" haha xD So all good. I have to especially praise our driver The one and only Bernardo, he was driving through the steep serpentines stonecold, like a boss, even if he had to drive backwords, cos of narrow route a couple of times.. Quite an adrenalin tour at the end, big up!

We did the self drive option. Met up with those travelling by coach as planned. Helpful and very knowledgeable staff, very informative. Clouds spoiled the sunset. The stargazing was at a higher elevation above the clouds so was very good. All of the major constellations were visible and everyone got to observe five or six key features through the four telescopes. It was very cold, take lots of extra layers and gloves, some jackets were available.
