A thoroughly enjoyable experience. We started off being picked up just before 4pm, and we picked up a few other travellers along the way , then we made our way up to Mt Teide National Park . First stop was a La Paz cafeteria on the outskirts of Vilaflor , a pretty little village where they served us a barraquito , a coffee liqueur . We then proceeded further on our scenic drive up into the dormant crater in the National Park , where we had a couple of stops along the way , to take in the the stunning scenery and take some photos of Mt Teide in the distance. We then stopped at Papillon restaurant for a 3 course meal and plentiful drinks, where afterwards we made our way to the sunset spot . It was quite an incredible sight , being way above the clouds and seeing the sun set with Mt Teide as a backdrop to the left . After sunset we made our way to the stargazing spot , which was amazing, with no light pollution. A thoroughly enjoyable excursion, and would highly recommend.

To the sunset views above the clouds and the marvelling of stars & constellations, it was truly an outstanding experience! We had so many wow moments. And if you get lucky you’ll get to see a few shooting stars too!
