2. Tel Aviv: Guided Two-World-Heritage-Sites Tour
Your visit starts at Old Jaffa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you'll enjoy visiting the sites which span over 3,500 years in history. You will enjoy a walk along the winding alleyways of the Old Town of Jaffa, and can wander around the remains of crusader architecture where the best modern galleries and theaters are set today.
Following that, you'll enjoy seeing ancient mosques and medieval churches, including the world-famous St. Peter Church. Afterwards, visit the Carmel Food Market, which was the first market built in Tel Aviv in 1920. Its streets and lanes are full of bustling life, noise, flavors, and smells from hundreds of different stalls as well as small cafes and restaurants (week-days only).
You'll then continue to the Nahalat Benjamin neighborhood which dates back to 1909, the same year that Tel Aviv was established. This pedestrian-street neighborhood is full of nice textile shops and ethnic restaurants, and its architecture will take you back to a Europe of the early 20th century..
Pay a short visit to the Historical American Colony neighborhood, where the story of the modern settlement of Palestine had started.
The tour continues on to the vibrant heart of modern Tel Aviv along Rothschild Boulevard. Due to its unique architectural beauty and historical importance, this part of Tel Aviv, usually called the "White City" of Tel Aviv, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visit the historical German Colony Sarana and enjoy Sarona Food Street Market (on Saturdays only)
You will then drive through the diversity and beauty of modern Tel Aviv on your way back to your hotel, where your tour will conclude.
