Full description
The high mountains of the Galilee are rich with volcanic soil and are ideal for winemaking because of their hot summers and snowy winters. Most of the largest wineries as well as many boutique wineries, have vineyards in the Galilee. Start your day with a pickup service at your Tel Aviv hotel or accommodation and take a pictorial route to the high Galilee Mountains in Northern Israel.
During this highly rewarding tour, visit three different wineries as you taste wine and meet the winery owners and winemakers. Learn about their winemaking methods and the region's winemaking history. Throughout your visit to the wineries you will taste 3 to 4 different types of wine at each location:
• The Netofa Winery offers elegant, old-world-type fine wines exemplified by smooth body and complex bouquets and flavors.
• The Dalton Winery, one of the most famous and popular in Israel. This winery is a relatively large winery, with an annual production of around 1 million bottles.
• The Adir Winery, a family-owned and operated mid-size winery which benefits from years of agricultural precision along with a true, hands-on knowledge of the land and wine production, from planting through growing, selection, harvesting, crushing and bottling the wine.
