An unforgettable tour!!! Great guide, who provided lots of background information but also left time to linger. The shared meal was priced really ok by Israeli standards and very tasty! The heat (38 degrees!) was the only negative - but that's how it is in July :-) The bus was super air-conditioned and you didn't have to walk as much as you would on a tour of Jerusalem, for example. The landscape was breathtaking, you see a lot on the tour! The Jordan River and the Mount of Temptation, which you can take a cable car to (with an incredible view!!), were my personal highlights! There are not enough stars to give for this unforgettable day!

We didn't see the caves of Qumram, only a film was offered about it, expensive admission. In Bethlehem, the guide directed us to a souvenir shop, where we had to stay for about half an hour. In the Church of the Nativity he wanted to get rid of his frustration with the (evil) Israelis. Guides should behave neutrally. I was satisfied with the other guides.

It was quite a long day but so interesting ! I definitely recommend it. First, you go to Bethlehem and meet a local guide who is not Jewish. And back to Jerusalem to pick the guide for the rest of the day. Then you go to the desert of Judea along the Jordan river where Jesus was baptized and then Jericho.
