Bali: Hidden Canyon, Waterfall & Temples Small Group Tour

2. Bali: Hidden Canyon, Waterfall & Temples Small Group Tour

Embrace the opportunity to don your swimwear, go barefoot, jump, trek and swim deep into the heart of a hidden Balinese canyon. Travel by air-conditioned minibus to Tegenungan Waterfall, just a stone’s throw from popular Ubud. It will take you over 100 steps to get up close and personal to the waterfalls. Spend a busy afternoon exploring some of Bali’s best-loved temples. Start off at Goa Gajah, otherwise known as the Elephant Temple. In true Hindi style, this temple is elaborately decorated with otherworldly carvings and taken over by sprawling tree roots akin to Angkor Wat. Next, visit one of the few places in Bali that can compete at the Gunung Kawi Temple. Learn about how it's one of the island’s oldest monuments, a must to experience the history and culture of Indonesia. To get there, pass through the beautiful terraced rice fields that Bali is so famous for. Return to your accommodation with an all-around feel for the island’s nature, cuisine, and architecture.

East Bali: Snorkeling, Canyoning, and Waterfall Day Trip

3. East Bali: Snorkeling, Canyoning, and Waterfall Day Trip

Head out to Bali’s east coast for idyllic scenery and gorgeous beaches, with fewer crowds than other parts of the island. After pick-up, you’ll continue to Tanjung Jepun and Blue Lagoon for snorkeling sessions with an expert instructor. Glide above the vibrant coral reefs and keep an eye out for reef sharks, sea turtles, lion fish, and squid. The next stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, a short distance from Ubud. Get up close to the waterfall, swim in the water below it, and cool off from the tropical sunshine before continuing on to the hidden canyon in Sukawati. Finally, you’ll reach the Beji Guwang Hidden Canyon. The stone walls here were formed by river erosion over thousands of years, leaving beautiful patterns. Trek along the river before taking the chance to jump into the water. Rest up after your full-day adventure as you’re transported back to your accommodation.

What people are saying about Tegenungan Waterfall

This trip was the highlight of my holiday! Yogi our guide was very prompt and he made the whole trip fun, learnt so much about balinese culture and it felt a very personal experience beeing in a small group of three. The hidden canyon experience was amazing but i must say people must be prepared with water shoes and ready for an adventure. The guide taking us on the hidden canyon was very good and made us feel safe, also took all our pictures. We asked Yogi to drop us for lunch by a less tourist rice plantation, nothing was any trouble for him, enjoyed very much the peaceful lunch . The two temples we visited were quite different, full of interesting history and in most beautiful settings. I did not go down to the waterfall but was happy to just sit at the top and watch the others. Yogi was a great driver and had a great sense of humour, loved all of us singing on the way back. I highly recomend this trip.

An amazing day! Our driver was absolutely wonderful, answering all of our questions on top of being a very safe driver. All sites visited were absolutely stunning, however my only recommendation would be to bring reef shoes to the hidden canyon - there are alot of sharp rocks and it gets a bit painful with bare feet.

This trip was incredible. we really enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Abdidewa was amazing. He made sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed and provided a lot of fun! Really nice guy. The highlight of the trip is the hidden canyon. Would highly recommend.

This is a great trip. We went to two snorkeling spots where we saw so many fish, then a waterfall and finally the canyon which was amazing. Kids loved it. Different guide for each and all we’re superb. Also stopped at a nice spot for lunch.

This was an amazing experience. The hidden canyon and the temple was spectacular. Well worth the money. They guide you through the day and the guide was amazing.
