    Discover Milford Sound on an 8-hour adventure with round-trip transport from Te Anau and a 2-hour cruise through the fiord. If you are looking to explore both Milford and Doubtful Sounds, it is worth staying one or two nights in Te Anau. There is plenty to do plus you will save yourself the long journeys to and from Queenstown. At Milford Sound, climb aboard the leisurely nature cruise for an informative, interactive, and relaxed experience. A specialist guide will provide live informative commentary and you can admire the fiord’s wildlife, waterfalls, and mountains. Enjoy lunch on board the cruise — you may bring your own lunch or purchase snacks and drinks (cash only) on the vessel. Be prepared to enjoy some rainfall during your visit; the landscape is especially dramatic when it rains in Fiordland. Enjoy the spectacular views from a dry, comfortable vantage point on board the vessel. Following the cruise, immediately board the luxury coach for the return journey to Te Anau, arriving between 4:30 PM and 5:45 PM, depending on the season.

    Perfect way to see Milford Sound plus enjoy the trip to and from the Sound with glass-roofed coach to enable viewing of the peaks. Driver was informative and an excellent driver - Luke. The cruise on the Sounds was breathtaking, comfortable and memorable. A terrific day from start to finish. Highly recommended. Milford Sound was the highlight of our 3 weeks spent exploring the South Island.

    Brian the bus driver was enthusiastic and amusing - it was good to see someone who enjoyed their job. It was a good trip up. The cruise was also excellent and I enjoyed the laconic commentary by the captain. Both he and Brian clearly care about Fiordland and want us to enjoy seeing it in its pristine state. And it was awesome. Some of the views were breathtaking.

    Pete, the driver on the outward journey, was really interesting to listen to as he gave out lots of information especially re how the roads were back in the 1950s! A very different journey today. Weather outward was sunny with clouds and enjoyed the boat trip too. Really glad we picked up the trip in Te Anau rather than Queenstown as it was quite a long journey.
