Full description
After departing from Tbilisi to Gudauri early in the morning, you will travel 160 kilometres along the Georgian Military Road. This famous road runs between Tbilisi, Georgia and Russia, and on the way, there are some exciting places to visit. You will begin by visiting Sabaduri Forest, an area which is breathtaking and reminiscent of scenery from a children's fairy tale. Afterwards, you will reach the Ananuri Fortress, a 16th-century castle complex on the Aragvi River. The fortress stands beside the famous Georgian Military Highway, overlooking a sizeable Jinvali lake. Its high, turreted stone walls protect two churches, a watchtower, and a reservoir. The main church facade is beautifully carved with animal, floral and Celtic-style patterns. Your next stop will be Gudauri, a remarkable ski resort in Georgia. The resort is at an altitude of 2,200 meters above sea level and offers high-quality skiing opportunities between December and April. In Gudauri, you can enjoy stunning views, hit the slopes, or take a cable car ride up the mountain. For a bit of extra excitement, try your hand at snowmobiling or take a lesson at the ski school. After a full day of adventure, make a stop in Pasanauri village, the birthplace of Georgian khinkali. These delicious dumplings, filled with meat or vegetables, are a must-try for any visitor to Georgia. Pasanauri restaurants offer rich Georgian cuisine, as well as vegetarian and halal dishes. This tour is perfect for families and those who want to experience the magic of Georgian winter. With the help of our knowledgeable guide, you will be able to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the Georgian mountains and create lasting memories. The tour will end with a drop-off at your hotel in Tbilisi or Gudauri.

This was a great experience with many breathtaking and picturesque views of Georgia to enjoy as you learn more about the country. We really enjoyed it thanks to the kindness, friendliness and flexibility of our guide Aleksi; his excellent knowledge of Georgian history, culture, cuisine as well as funny local stories. He was also very patient with us, taking time to ensure we get the best experience all along the tour, even helping us with his great photography skills. Thanks to Aleksi and his team for making this a fantastic experience.
