Full description
With the comfort of a private car and a professional guide by your side, you will visit all the main sights of the two cities of Mtskheta and Jvari, as well as uncover some hidden gems. The first half of your tour focuses on Tbilisi, where you will cover most of the Old Town by walking through its narrow streets and seeing key sites. You will encounter such attractions as the Gabriadze Puppet Theater, the Anchiskhati Basilique, the Old Mosque and the Grand Synagogue, the sulfur baths, Metekhi and of course the famous Narikala Fort, which provides a fantastic panoramic view of Tbilisi. The Tbilisi tour also includes some sites that can be easily reached by car, such as the Trinity Church Sameba, the Fabrika urban space and the Chronicles of Georgia Monument. After a traditional lunch in a popular countryside restaurant, you will proceed to Mtskheta where you will visit the main cathedral of Georgia, Svetitskhoveli, also known as the "Second Jerusalem". Your final stop will be to the UNESCO protected Jvari Monastery from the 6th century, which has one of the most beautiful panoramic views in Georgia.

A good tour depends on a good tour guide. Our guide, George Davladze, was absolutely professional, he gave us an amazing time and an unforgettable experience exploring the beautiful city of Tbilisi and its surroundings during our 1-day tour. George was totally friendly, speaks English fluently, very knowledgeable about the information of all the historical monuments and sites we visited. Being a native Georgian it was a great opportunity to engage in cultural discussion to learn more about the beautiful culture or Georgia. I highly recommend this tour with George!
