Full description
Start your tour with the most iconic Georgian dish in one of the oldest restaurants of the city, while your experienced guide tells you about the history and specifics of Georgian cuisine and gives you tips on how to eat like a local. Proceed through a variety of food spots that are all located in the backstreets of the heart of the city - an area of former splendor, magnificent Art Nouveau architecture in decay and a true Tbilisian vibe. While you try a walnut-spinach paste, a beet and sour plum salad or chicken in garlic and cream sauce,  hear stories about the neighborhood, Tbilisi's history, and modern day life. Feel free to ask your guide questions. Georgian cuisine is not complete without the wines so you will get a chance to taste selected natural wines of Georgia produced by the ancient Qvevri technology and try chacha - a local strong spirit, that Georgians call "liquid happiness".

An extremely delightful experience! Luca was not only a charming host, but was very knowledgeable about the history and political climate of the region and a delightful story teller! I would highly recommend this tour at the beginning of your stay in Georgia. It is not only a great cross section of the local spirits, wines and cuisine; it is, also, a great great introduction to the city of Tbilisi and all it has to offer.

We had a lovely evening! Levan is such a friendly and knowledgeable guide who really made us feel welcome. So much great authentic Georgian food; we were absolutely stuffed at the end of the evening. The wine and cha cha tastings were fun and educational. Would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone

I’ve done a lot of great tours, but this was the best city tour I’ve done. It really wasn’t even like a tour but more like hanging out with a cool local that knows every one and all the best spots to hang out. Levan made sure we had a blast learning downtown Tbilisi.
