We took this day trip to Kazbegi/Gergeti with our guide Giorgi and it was amazing. Kazbegi is a true gem and a definite must-see if you're ever in Georgia. The road there was an experience in itself as we passed by some of the most beautiful mountain sceneries I've ever seen, making stops along the way to take pictures and listen to stories behind some of the top landmarks. The whole trip was very well planned and thought through. Giorgi went out of his way to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Clean, spacious car, thoughtful details like snacks, drinks and sanitizers and a great selection of road trip music, all were very much appreciated. Lunch on the way back deserves a separate review. Totally recommended, 10 out of 10.

Georgia is a beautiful country with spectacular scenery, beautiful churches and interesting history. This day trip from Tbilisi is an excellent way to sample this, especially if you don’t have time to tour the whole country. Visitors get to cover a great deal of countryside from a comfortable vehicle with a friendly guide. Be aware that you are going high into the mountains and pay attention to the weather forecast when choosing the day for your trip. Be prepared for cooler weather, even in high summer, and bring appropriate clothing. Be aware mist can affect views. I experienced some dramatic clouds on my excursion but still enjoyed beautiful panoramas. Wonderful day! Fabulous photos!
