Spend two days exploring quaint small towns in the region of Kakheti and tasting their best wines with an experienced guide.   Day 1   In the morning, your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Tbilisi to take you to the wine region of Kakheti. Your first stop of this trip will be the lovely town of Sagarejo, where you’ll start with a stroll around the ancient and quaint downtown area. Then, visit a family wine cellar near Sagarejo, where you’ll experience a wine tasting and a light lunch. Then, drive to the winery town of Signagi, which is a popular tourist destination because of its location at the heart of Georgia’s grape valleys. Check in at your hotel in Signagi before heading off for a second sightseeing tour around the town. Explore the town’s picturesque landscapes, pastel houses, and narrow cobblestone streets. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a delicious meal paired with top-quality local wine.   Day 2   After having breakfast in Signagi, you’ll head off towards Telavi, the main city of Kakheti. On the way there, you’ll visit Ikalto Monastery and its academy, built in the 6th century. You’ll also stop in at the Alaverdi Monastery, founded in the 11th century. In the afternoon you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch paired with some good local wines. Then, visit another wine cellar to taste the best Kakhetian wines. In the evening, you’ll be driven back to Tbilisi.
