Full description
Your tour starts from Tarquinia. Benefit from a pickup service from anywhere in the city to Etruscopolis - the biggest Etruscan park. Here, you will get a better idea of the daily lives of the ancient Tarchina. The Etruscan civilisation, which lasted from the 8th until the 5th Century BC in the regions of modern-day Tuscany and Lazio, is one of the most fascinating and mysterious civilisations in history. An uninhibited, elemental people, the Etruscans enthralled D.H. Lawrence, who craved to know more about their wisdom, vivacity, and love of life. To him, they represented the antithesis of everything he despised in the modern world. After Etruscopolis, you will walk to a UNESCO site, the Necropoli of Monterozzi, where you can admire the beautiful painted tombs. The last stop on the tour is the National Museum, where you can see the beautiful flying horses, a symbol of the city. After a walk through the ancient city center, you will be ready to stop and have a real Etruscan lunch. Enjoy some free time before you are dropped off in the afternoon.
