1. Lisbon: City Center and River 3-Hour Guided Segway Tour

Experience the history of Lisbon via a modern mode of transport. Using a self-balancing Segway, you can explore at your own pace and see more than you would on foot or a sightseeing bus. The Segway moves by responding to simple body movements and quickly feels like a natural extension of yourself. This experience to remember will get you up close to historic landmarks without breaking out in a sweat! You can take the tour alone, with friends, or with family. On arrival, you will be asked to choose from one of the following itineraries on your day of travel: Lisbon by the River; Alfama Tour; or Baixa Chiado. Explore the city cycle path near the River Tagus, where you can get up to full speed. Look out for historic attractions, such as the Santo Amaro Docks, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries, and more.

From a height of over 100 meters, you can admire a breathtaking view of Lisbon and the Christ the King Statue, which, at 28.5 meters high, is the largest concrete statue in Europe. You can also climb to the top of said statue, where you can take in an incredible view of the city and the river. Admire the magnificent Hieronymite Monastery, one of the most important and impressive examples of Manueline style, a Portuguese variation on late Gothic. You can also discover the unique Belém Tower and the one-of-a-kind Monument to the Discoveries. Visit areas of Lisbon less known among tourists such as the Estrela quarter with its Basilica, or the cemetery Prazeres. Lunchtime is also planned at one of Lisbon's local markets, away from tourist crowds.

With a 15-minute photo stop you will have enough time to take memorable snapshots. See the Monument to the Discoveries, which was built 60 meters high with 30 oversized statues in honor of Portuguese sailors as well as a world map and the marble Compass Rose, a gift from the Republic of South Africa in 1960. Stroll across Praça do Império to the Jerónimos Monastery, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After a visit to the church you can take in the scent of the famous Pastéis de Belém (small pastries with a custard filling), a specialty of Lisbon. Using a Segway for the first time is quite the experience. At first you think you’ll never get it but you really quickly get used to it. It’s a fab way to see Lisbon as you really can enjoy the views without thinking too much about how you’re getting about. A great experience.

We had a really great experience. The Segways weren't hard to drive at all and we quickly got used to them. Tony was an awesome guide and he gave us lots of information as well as advice regarding what to visit during our stay. Would 10/10 recommend.
