What people are saying about Syntagma Square

Great informative walk with an excellent guide!

Our guide was Costas and he spoke excellent English and made everything interesting. Group was relatively small at about 16 people, there was never a time when it was difficult to hear. He went out of his way to make sure we did not lose people or to find lost people rather than just giving up on them.

History, culture & food all wrapped up in one phenominal tour!

Our guide, Katherine was magnificent and shared her knowledge, culture & Greek history with us in a delightful manner. She kept us on track without rushing. It was an intimate look at traditional Greek foods and the part they play in the Greek way of life. We experienced so much delicious food; arrive hungry.

A fantastic, hands-on tour around Athens

Our guide, Dorela, was able to show us the culinary wonders of Greece through a tour of various hot spots in Athens. From Greek coffee made over sand, to a detailed olive oil tasting in small tucked away shop, the walking tour is best done on an empty stomach.

We had a fantastic time with Ana in Monastiraki!

I did this tour near the end of a round-the-world trip, so I am not a newbie traveler. I really very much enjoyed this food tour with Ana through Athens. There was, of course, too much food, but all of the places we visited were tasty, had places for us to sit and enjoy, and many of the proprietors interacted with us a bit, adding to the experience. We tried cheese and spinach pies, olives, wines, olive oils, feta, greek yogurt, loukomades, gyros (souvlaki), charcuterie and cheeses. (There was probably something else I'm not remembering!) In all the tour was almost 5 hours, and the group made fast friends. I would definitely recommend this tour with Athens Walks!
