Hear the traditional Damara clicking language and smell the sidewalk barbecues - even have a taste if you'd like. Your guide wants to share with you a slice of life in the townships of Mondesa, so you have a real authentic Namibian experience. The tour will include a meal, usually a barbecue or a normal set-up of local traditional food with a local family. The daily tours include a visit to the women's day project. On Sundays, the tour includes a visit to a Church with prior arrangement. Most guests come away feeling positive and inspired. These tours are not about poverty - yes, you will see signs of poverty, but rather the tours are about people and how they are lifting themselves out of their poverty. What people are saying about Swakopmund

It was great that Desert Tours picked us up at our B&B and dropped us there again. We chose a "slow" ride because not all of us were familiar with riding a quad bike. This made it possible for us to enjoy some of the beautiful aspects of the desert. Our guide looked for and found a side-winder snake and a sand gecko which was amazing for us - something we never expected to see. Those of us who wanted to also had a chance to "speed up" against the dunes which was exciting. We had a great experience.

A very interesting and not too strenuous excursion by kayak. The guide was great and was able to share very interesting facts about Bird Rock and Namibia's west coast. If you are lucky you can see dolphins and sometimes even whales further out. My tip, if possible, everyone has their own kayak. Then there will be no quarrels. All in all a successful day.

A great experience, weather wasn't the best, however we still got to see some of the ocean life. We also had an amazing guide, who did a wonderful job explaining everything.

An amazing experience. Exhilirating and fun and informative. Rikkie was a great guide concerned with our safety but also our experience. I would highly recommend it.

The quad bikes were really good and Ben the guide was so patient and knowledgeable.
