GoBoat is the fun, self-drive boating experience. You are the captain; you choose the route. From our location in Kingston, GoBoats have access to a stunning non-tidal section of London's River Thames. Our boats fit up to 8 people including children (dogs are also welcome). No boating experience is necessary, as you’ll be taught everything you need to know. Our friendly crew will welcome you by the kiosk to give you your boating instructions and provide life jackets for babies and buoyancy aids for children. You’ll also be given a route map to help you navigate your way. Set sail on a 1, 2, 3 or 4 hour adventure with friends and family. Board your cruise in Richmond and head down the beautiful River Thames. As you sail, enjoy views of Teddington Lock and Kingston upon Thames. Purchase a drink to sip on as you take in the views from the boat. After arriving in Hampton Court, explore the palace and parks or enjoy lunch at one of the many riverside pubs or restaurants.

Your session will start with a safety briefing and some land-based training on the riverbank or our pontoon near Richmond Bridge. This typically takes 15-20 minutes depending on group size. We will introduce you to the kayaking equipment, teach you about safety and navigation on the river, as well as paddle techniques, including how to steer, stop and self-rescue. We will then head out onto the river, either upstream towards Eel Pie Island and Teddington or downstream towards Richmond Lock, Isleworth, Kew Gardens and Chiswick, depending on the tide. The distance actually covered will depend on wind and tide conditions on the day.

Your session will start with a safety briefing and some land-based training on the riverbank at the bottom of The Anglers' beer garden. This typically takes 15-20 minutes depending on group size.We will introduce you to paddleboarding equipment, teach you about safety and navigation on the river, as well as paddle techniques, including how to steer, stop and self-rescue. We’ll have you standing up and progressing confidently in no time! We will then head out onto the river, most probably downstream towards Eel Pie Island and Richmond, or occasionally upstream towards Kingston. The distance actually covered will depend on wind and tide conditions on the day. You do not need to be a proficient swimmer, but should be comfortable with falling into water while wearing a buoyancy aid. A certain level of flexibility and ability to get up to standing from kneeling is required for learning to paddleboard.
