Sunset Beach, Hawaii: Tours & Tickets
Sunset Beach, Hawaii: Our most recommended tours and activities
1. Hidden Gems of Oahu Tour with North Shore Turtle Snorkeling
Take a full-day tour to visit all of Oahu’s major landmarks and hidden spots. This tour includes a special stop to snorkel with the giant Hawaiian green sea turtles.
Your local guide will talk to you about the history and culture of Hawaii while taking you to some of its lesser-known gems. Experience Hawaii as the locals know and love. Stops also include lots of the major sights such as Chinaman's Hat and Oahu's famous North Shore. Visit sites such as Diamond Head, Halona BlowHole, Makapuu Pt. Macadamia Nut Farm, ChinaMan’s Hat, North Shore Shrimp Trucks, North Shore Fruit Stand, Sunset Beach, Turtle Snorkeling, and Dole Pineapple Plantation. This tour will have you saying "Mahalo" like a local, as you absorb the local saltwater and dine on local cuisine offered by the authentic local food trucks.
Had an overall pretty good time. Wasn’t impressed with the snorkeling. I was really looking forward to that. That was one main reason I scheduled this. It rained the day before and the waters were super cloudy. Couldn’t see anything and didn’t get to see any sea turtles. So if you’re wanting to snorkel with turtles I wouldn’t recommend this trip.
2. Hawaii: Waterfall Hike, Kayaking, and Paddleboard Adventure
Spend the day away from busy Honolulu and surround yourself in the beauty of Hawaii’s North Shore. Start the day with pickup from your accommodation, then head off on your adventure. Choose between a waterfall hike or a paddleboard/kayak adventure. If you choose the hike, you'll enjoy a guided hike to one of the region’s most beautiful waterfalls, Waimea, and feel immersed in the gorgeous greenery that surrounds you. Then cool off with a refreshing dip in the water. If you choose the kayaking/paddleboarding adventure, you'll kayak or paddleboard on Haleiwa River. After the activity of your choice, enjoy a stroll along one of the North Shore's many white sandy beaches, sample local coffee and more.
The first stop on the trip is Green World Farms. Just a heads up, the bus does not allow coffee or drinks onboard from pick up time until we get to Green World Farms. The bus drops off people for the kayaking/paddle boarding first and then secondly drops off people for the waterfall hike. We chose to go to Waimea Falls. When you’re dropped off, there is no guided tour and you just walk to the falls yourself (0.75 miles there and 0.75 miles back). The waterfall is beautiful and is refreshingly cold. You also have to wear a life jacket (provided near falls) in order to go into the water. I would recommend bringing water shoes if you have them as you need to climb down some rocks to get into the water. The bus driver gives you a time to get back to the entrance to be picked up again (1.5 hrs total). We had lunch at Fumi’s which is cash only so make sure to bring cash ($15 per plate). The garlic butter shrimp is delicious! Overall, an enjoyable day!
3. From Waikiki: Oahu Day Trip With Lunch and Snorkeling
Explore the natural beauty of Oahu as you visit unique spots on and off the beaten path with an expert guide. Discover the local culture and tick off the best highlights on the Island. Start at Diamond Head Beach Lookout where you'll enjoy panoramic views along Diamond Head Road and a stop at the Amelia Earhart Monument. Next, head to the Halona Blowhole for views of Oahu's East Coast and the locally beloved Sandy Beach. Then visit a macadamia nut farm and sample local coffee, chocolate and macadamia nuts. Stop at the Mokoli’i Viewpoint, where you can snap some photos of the famous off-shore cone-shaped island. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch at the Shrimp Truck. Then head to the famous Sunset Beach, for a stroll along the white-sand beaches. Here you'll be allowed to surf as well since your guides are certified lifeguards. You may even see some turtles. Finally, before driving back to ...

Charlie was a great tour guide and made the tour so much fun! Saw many sights of beautiful Oahu and the snorkeling and Dole Plantation was great! Great tour with a little bit of everything!
Nice, comfortable bus ride around the island. We’ll worth the price if you don’t have a rental car to do your own exploring
Art was amazing, very knowledgeable. Since it was my 10yo son's first trip to Hawaii, this tour was great for him.
Charlie was ALOT of fun and shared his knowledge of the island with us all.
