Christ the Redeemer is considered the guardian of the city and the perfect view is from Sugarloaf. If you want to stand at Christ's feet, go up Corcovado Mountain.

Rio's biggest park is an expanse of emerald if you look for it from on top of Sugarloaf. Back down on earth, you can check out its Olympic Park and the Museum of Modern Art.

What people are saying about Sugarloaf Mountain, Rio de Janeiro
Originally we had only bought and planned to visit Cristo Redentor and the Sugarloaf mountain. However the weather was not the best to get the most out of those 2 and the guide suggested we started with a tour in the city, I e the Selaron Steps, Maracanã Stadium and some churches/cathedral- very very nice! We had not booked this, it was very easy to adjust the booking and the planning of the day. The guide, Sergio, was very informative the full day and together with the driver they planned the day excellent, adjusted the activities to the weather and we got the best views and very smooth passes in the lines to all activities the full day. Can really recommend the tour as well as the guide, Sergio!
This trip was far better than we could have imagined and included far more on the itinerary than stated in the tour description including the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio which was stunning. The guide Bruno was 1st class and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide, he was probable, knowledgable and all round good fun and company to be around. He made the trip so interesting and was by far the best guide we encountered on our entire trip to Rio. The lunch was absolutely amazing too. I loved this tour, it made our trip and was essentially all of Rio’s highlights in 1 very well organised trip. Highly recommend
Pedro(the guide) got his message across in English clearly and understandably, while Alvis(the driver) negotiated the frightening ascent/descent to Christ The Redeemer expertly. I will do the same tour again with the duo if/when I come back to Rio. The particular City tour was money well spent. Dr. Toks Abiose.
Thank you Newton for an amazing tour! Expertise and knowledge of Rio was great by the tour guide and time efficiency was spot on! Newton and Elvis (driver) were welcoming and accommodating for us and other guests! Thank you both for showing the best of Rio in the most safest and reliable way.
Pick up just in time, excellent driver, a knowledge, funny and kind guide (renata) who speaks 3 languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese), the best places of the city to visit in one day, enough time in every touristic place.
