According to legend, it was founded by the Trojan hero Antenor, and was home to the Mesolithic and Neolithic peoples who first settled on this island. Ston is the first stop after departing from Dubrovnik. With well preserved city walls which once protected the town during the medieval times, Ston is a charming town with rich history. An optional visit to the ancient salt-works before continuing on the Peljesac peninsula will allow for an interesting stop on the tour. And excellent day out, visited the olive oil mill first, very interesting!!! Here you have a sample of food produced by the farmer. This was excellent, wine also included. The small town of Ston was also very interesting and the seafood platter at Mali Ston was also good. Well worth the money

Fantastic afternoon out exploring wineries and tasting some great wine at Marlais. The highlight of the trip was sampling oysters right out of Ston Bay.

Damir was an excellent and very knowledgeable driver, a true gentleman. My teenagers and I had a great time.
