Proud owner of longest stone wall in Europe (5.5 km), with narrow quiet streets, noble ancient houses and traces of ancient cultures scattered around.  It's former importance as a city of salt is confirmed today in the plants of the oldest active salt works in the world. Salt works remained a valuable tradition and natural way of producing slat that has not changed since ancient times. Take your time and walk up the longest stone wall of Europe, or see traditional secrets of salt production, take your time in Stone before you continue with your tour. After a spot of sightseeing in Ston, you will be taken to Mali Ston for an oyster tasting tour. Locals from the area are known for their cultivation of oysters and mussels since Roman times. Oysters from this region are known as a natural aphrodisiac. You will be taken on a boat ride to enjoy the untouched natural beauty of the protected ecosystem of Mali Ston Bay, along with the sun and the sea in which many small islets 'are bathing'. The entire experience also has an educational character since your guide is glad to share their knowledge and experience about the process of cultivating oysters with you. Learn how to gather, sand and open oysters in the midst of an oyster farm and enjoy tasting them with a glass of local wine. The boat ride takes approximately 60 minutes, after which you will be brought back inland to continue your drive home full of new experiences and knowledge. 

After pickup at your hotel or the cruise port, you will have the opportunity to visit Trsteno Botanical Garden, a 30-minute drive from Dubrovnik. During a 45-minute visit, explore a Renaissance garden built in 1492, full of exotic plants and trees. Next stop is the little village of Majkovi, where you can taste some of the best domestic products the region has to offer, including homemade cheeses, local olives, delicious dried meat, freshly baked bread, honey produced by the hosts, and a wide variety of homemade liquor and Croatian wines. Continuing along the high Napoleonic road, enjoy a majestic view of the Elaphiti Islands as you descend into Ston. The town is home to one of the oldest working salt factories in Europe, the second largest stone wall in Europe and some of the tastiest oysters on the Adriatic. A few brave tourists are interested in walking the walls, spanning 5.5 kilometers of steep hillside. If you prefer to take a swim, drink a cup of coffee or sample fresh oysters, your guide will be happy to accommodate you. On the way back to Dubrovnik, you will return to Majkovi for an extravagant homemade meal in the traditional Croatian style called ispod peke in a 300-year-old family house. Indulge in fresh goat cheese, vegetables from the garden, and young goat or lamb slow cooked all day under a large iron bell known as a peka. The seafood menu includes octopus or grilled fish with a side of potatoes and vegetables, homemade wine and dessert. Upon arrival back in Dubrovnik, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation.

Spend a relaxing day exploring the mussel and oyster farms, salt flats, and many charming cafes, with a lunch of fresh mussels, oysters, and local wine included. Your driver will pick you up at your hotel and you will head to Ston in a comfortable, fully air-conditioned vehicle. After about an hour and a quarter of driving, you will arrive in Hodilje from where you will take a small boat that will take you to a local oysters and mussels farm, to see how local farmers farm them. Finally, you arrive to island of Ostrog, where your hosts will wait for you, with fresh oysters right out of sea, ready to be served. They will also prepare a traditional Croatian dish made of mussels, called "Buzara". This gastronomic delight will be complete with domestic Croatian wine. After this, you will head to Ston and your driver/guide will take you to the city and reveal to you some local history during a half an hour walking tour. You will also visit salt pans where you can see the production of salt that hasn't changed for two thousand years. If you wish, you can take a coffee break at one of the cafes on the main square or take a swim at the nearby sandy beach. On the way back to Dubrovnik, you will stop at Trsteno Arboretum and spend about one hour there. This garden is full of exotic plants because the family which established it in the 15th Century requested all the ship captains to bring back seeds from their journeys all over the world. The garden was also used for shooting some of the scenes in the popular Game of Thrones series. Before heading back to Dubrovnik, you can refresh yourself at the beach situated near the pier in Trsteno.

Ston is the first stop after departing from Dubrovnik. With well preserved city walls which once protected the town during the medieval times, Ston is a charming town with rich history. An optional visit to the ancient salt-works before continuing on the Peljesac peninsula will allow for an interesting stop on the tour. Take the opportunity to walk around the city of Ston, where you will have a 30-minute break to see its historic center and mighty walls which have protected the town for almost 700-years. You will also see how the salt is produced here in a process that is two thousand years old. After a relaxing walk you will enjoy an oyster tasting at an on-shore oyster farm. Upon arriving in Orebic, you will take a ferry for approximately 15-minutes into Korcula town. Exploring this beautiful old town will be complete with a 40-minute guided walking tour with your personal guide. After sightseeing you will have some free time in Korcula in arrangement with your driver/guide. The ferry will take you back to Orebic, from here you will continue with a drive back to Dubrovnik.
