Full description
Start your tour at Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century orthodox monastery near Mtskheta. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the monastery stands on a rocky mountain above the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking Mtskheta, the old capital of Georgia. Continue to Zhinvali Water Reservoir, located on the Georgian Military Highway. Learn the history of this Soviet dam, constructed in the 1980s. Then, arrive at the Ananuri Fortress, the seat of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi. Discover the intriguing plots of this feudal dynasty that ruled the area from the 13th century. Explore the site of numerous historic battles and take in the magnificent scenery — ideal for landscape photography. After Ananuri Fortress, have lunch in Pasanauri, the homeland of the most famous traditional Georgian food, Khinkali. Admire the Friendship Monument of Georgian and Russian people in Gudauri. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between Gudauri ski resort and the Jvari Pass, the memorial consists of a large round stone arch and concrete structure overlooking the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus Mountains. Then, arrive at Kazbegi, and explore one of the most beautiful places in Georgia: Gergeti Trinity Church. The church is located under Kazbegi Mountain, 2170 meters above sea level, and offers spectacular panoramic views of the entire valley. Enjoy the serene natural beauty of this isolated marvel. Finish your tour at the Rooms Hotel Kazbegi. Relax with a cup of coffee in their stylish restaurant and soak up the stunning views of Kazbegi.

This is a must-do tour, regardless of the weather you will be in Georgia! This package was combined with the best tour guide I have met, Giuna who kept our tour very interesting, giving us detailed information about the places we visited and entertained us while we are on the road. The experience with the team Gamarjoba(Hello) in Georgia is beyond our expectations!

Gamarjoba Georgia Tours were amazing! From the minute we made the booking we had contact with Maryam (May) via WhatsApp and could arrange the pick-up and drop-off, meals etc. Our guide George stuck the perfect balance between knowledge of history and geography, and anecdotal stories to keep us entertained. He read the mood of the group and tailored his approach and pace accordingly, all the while maintaining a perfect schedule that allowed us to enjoy each stop while not wasting time anywhere along the way. Moreover, he and Lenny (our personal guide for the first, short part of the tour before we joined a larger group) were able to answer any questions we had along the way. All in all, this was most memorable day of our stay in Georgia thanks to this team. We hope that we can enjoy more excursions with Gamarjoba Georgia Tours when we visit this amazing country and it’s people next time!

We traveled from Tbilisi to the Jvari Monastery, Ananuri, Gudauri, and Kazbegi, all with amazing views. We joined a group and the bus was comfortable. We also stopped for lunch and ate traditional Georgian food. On the last stop, we went to the Gergety Trinity Church and to a nice restaurant on Rooms Hotel Kazbegi to drink and snack. Recommended! :)
