After being picked up by your guide at 9:00am, you will start your day trip towards Kazbegi. Passing by the old capital of Georgia, you will visit the Jvari monastery, built in the 7th Century and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, you will head towards Jhinvali Dam - made during the Soviet era in Georgia. Only ten minutes drive away, you will stop at Ananuri Castle. Passing by Gudauri ski resort, you will stop by a panoramic view point to admire the Great Caucasus Mountain Range. Then continue towards Kazbegi Village, a top destination in Georgia for its unique people, landscapes, and food. Go on a 4WD ride to reach Gergeti Trinity Church and explore above the clouds. Enjoy a delicious lunch before driving back to Tbilisi.

Start your trip with an early morning drive to the North East of Georgia and explore the Anunuri Castle Complex, where medieval architecture unites two churches, several towers, and defense walls. In the morning depart from Tbilisi and discover the treasures of northern Georgia. First, you will stop at Zhinvali Water Reservoir, where you will find the beautiful Ananuri castle complex. Explore the complex and admire the stunning panoramic views over the reservoir from one of the towers. Later, visit the resort town of Gudauri, where you will discover the People’s Friendship Arch. Afterward, travel to the town Pasanauri, where you will taste delicious traditional khinkali paired with local wine and Georgian chacha. Next, take an off-road vehicle to the Monastery of St. Trinity, located in the city of Gergeti. At the monastery, you will find the perfect observation deck that will allow you to admire Mount Kazbegi and Stepantsminda. In the evening, after a full day touring northern Gerogia you will return to Tbilisi.

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the reception of your hotel and take you to your first stop of the day, the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia - Mtskheta. In Mtskheta you will see two UNESCO World Heritage Sites; the 7th-century Jvari Monastery and the 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. After exploring Mtskheta you will continue on with your tour. You will drive north towards the Northern Caucasus along the well-known Georgian Military Road stopping along the way to explore the 17th-century architectural complex Ananuri before reaching Kazbegi which is the main town in the region. From Kazbegi you will take a 4WD vehicle through the beautiful valleys and woods to reach Gergeti Trinity Church. From the church, if weather permits you can see one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus. You will then start your trip back to Tbilisi.
