This was my birthday treat! Our tour guide, Helena (I think) chatted with us before we set off and worked out a route to fill in the bits we'd not seen, as we'd spent 3 days sightseeing already. She was very knowledgeable and we still managed to learn new things about St. Petersburg. We were very lucky in that it had actually snowed the day before the tour, so Yelagin park looked beautiful under a layer of snow, although there was not enough snow for a sleigh ride (carriage ride instead). We had chance to warm up with a warm drink in a souvenir shop after the carriage ride, which was very cold, despite wearing thermals. The vodka museum was out last stop, with an interesting tour about the history of vodka in Russia , followed by a tasting. Special thanks to the driver, who was the best (and safest!) we'd had during our stay.
I booked this tour to make sure we got to see the items of interest at the Hermitage. We were lucky, that as it was February, there were only 2 of us on the tour. Our guide, Olga, was friendly, knowledgable and obviously had a passion for art. We learnt a lot on the tour about the history of St. Petersburg, the history of the Hermitage and about the items on display. We are looking forward to our next tour with Olga as our guide.
Thoroughly enjoyed this guided tour of the Hermitage Museum. Maria was an amazing guide. Her knowledge was outstanding. We would not have wanted anyone other than her. Thank you so much Maria for making our tour perfect. Is there any way I can send a photo to her?
Our guide Andy was absolute treasure . Knowedge fun accommodating -you should be very proud of people like him. He made our day . Amazing performance -the best (top) we have experienced in Ermitage. Thank you
Olga was a lovely guide. She was very informative whilst also being great fun. She was keen to answer questions and was very engaging. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.
