Paris: Murder Mysteries Group Walking Tour

1. Paris: Murder Mysteries Group Walking Tour

On this 2-hour walking tour you will learn about the city’s darker side as you glance into its macabre underbelly. Paris has a long and tragic history of murder and execution, of rampant disease among the lower classes, and of bitter wars fought against a corrupt monarchy. The tour rips open the cloak of darkness, as you wind down alleyways and cut through the hushed night. Your English-speaking guide will take you to sites such as the Place de la Vert Gallant, where the last of the Knights’ Templar was burned at the stake. You will visit St Germain de Auxerrois, where estimates say some 30,000 people were killed in the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre. Your guide will point out places of interest as you stroll, leaving no stone unturned. As you delve into stories of ritual worship, you will learn about characters like Napoleon Bonaparte, Marie Antoinette and Henry IV, as well as the serial killers that once stalked these ghastly streets.

Paris: The Mona Lisa Curse Outdoor Escape Game

2. Paris: The Mona Lisa Curse Outdoor Escape Game

Solve clues and unlock horror stories as you roam Paris' haunted streets. Each clue will lead you from one place to another, giving you precise directions so that you won't need a map, GPS, or guide. After you purchase the quest, you'll receive an access code which you can use in the app. The quest will take you between 1-2 hours to complete, but there's no time limit which will allow you to have fun playing at your own pace. Throughout the quest, you will try to solve the curious case of Mona Lisa of the Seine, finding clues and encountering other spirits of the city. For larger groups, one person can purchase access for the entire group by selecting the number of people in the group. All group members will be able to play the city game on their smartphone. Alternatively, each person can purchase their own ticket. You can play as a group and solve the clues together as you walk, or you can split into smaller groups/teams and compete against the others. Each person can also play on their own, separate from the group, and meet the group at the end.

Île de la Cité: Self-Guided Audio Tour

3. Île de la Cité: Self-Guided Audio Tour

The Ile de la Cité is one of two natural islands in the Seine river in Paris, France. It’s located in the very center of Paris and is the historical heart of the city. Today, it’s a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year to see its historic buildings, charming streets, and beautiful gardens. On this walking tour, you’ll discover that the area is so much more than a simple tourist destination. While you stroll along the island, I’ll reveal the city's origins from a small settlement along the Seine River to one of the most charming places within one of the most famous cities in the world. So much happened here! You’ll hear all of its tales, starting with the legend of love-lock bridge which is actually called Pont des Arts. I’ll also tell you about King Henri IV and the terrible demise of his murderer, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, and Quasimoto and the city’s beloved Notre Dame Cathedral. I’ll show the island and all its sites, including the ones you didn’t even know about like Tour de l’Horloge, a public clock that was installed in 1418 and where the city’s very own Sweeney Todd lived in the 1430s. I’ll also point out Palais de Justice, Conciergerie Museum and Sainte-Chapelle. You’ll hear how the island was the site of the Roman city of Lutetia and how it became an important center of Paris. This is the perfect tour for Francophiles who want a taste of French history while enjoying a leisurely two-hour stroll along the heart of Paris.

Our guide Ami was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He made the tour interesting and we saw bits of Paris that we would not have seen otherwise. Highly recommended if you like history. He helped me sort out the timelines of various monarchs and the geography of the world in my head and linked the past to the present time and place. Good evening. ( Lot of walking and steps)

Michelle was fantastic and funny. It was cool that we got to see parts of the catacombs not open to the public.

History lesson about Paris in a creepy way. It was really fun. I can recommend to everyone.
