Full description

Upon finding your guide at the intersection of Riva Promenade and Hrvojeva Street, you will begin a 3-hour guided tour that includes generous tastings of traditional Croatian delicacies and wines.

Your food and history adventure will begin in the Green Market where you will have a traditional inland brunch made of prosciutto, pancetta, cheese, and "peka" bread.

From here, enter the ancient Diocletian's Palace where you will experience a ''konoba'' tavern-style restaurant and have seafood, handmade macaroni pasta (brought to Croatia by the Croatian Marco Polo), olive oil pies, and south Croatian red and white wines.

In the medieval part of Old Town, you'll have the opportunity to visit the oldest pastry shop in Split (their hundred-year-old recipes are top secret). Here, you will have traditional sweets and gelato, of course.

Rest assured, you will enjoy this history and gourmet tour with the best of Split and its delights.

This was one of the best things we did on our entire trip. First off, Olga our guide was awesome. She was so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about food and all things Split. Secondly, you get to go to some incredible places with outstanding food and wine. We did 3 food tours in different cities throughout our entire trip and this one was by far the best. 10/10 would recommend

A fantastic tour. Olga was an excellent guide, showing us around the green market and explaining about the local produce and recipes. She then showed us the key historical aspects of the palace and we finished with a delicious meal in a local restaurant and ice creams. Really enjoyable 3 hours and a great way to get to know Split. We were with one other couple so it was a nice group. We weren’t sure if we were standing in the right spot to meet the guide (we were), perhaps instructions could be clearer or suggest meeting in a specific restaurant or the SPLIT sign.

It was our best activity while cruising Greece and Croatia. Would recommend to anyone. Easy walking pace. Many stops in the green market. Some brief history lessons. Fun and great food! All finished with an outstanding meal. Our guide, Olga was just great. She was knowledgeable, kind, and personable.
