If you are a lover of historical tradition, pristine nature and superb cuisine, Pelješac Peninsula is the ideal place for you. Peljesac is famous for its seafood, especially oysters and other shellfish. Mali Ston is the most popular place to taste this heavenly food.  Start your day with a relaxing drive from Split or Trogir. After 2-hours, you will reach your first stop, the medieval city of Ston. The beautiful small city, famous for the longest city walls in Europe and the second longest in the world is a perfect tourist destination. In Ston, you will have the opportunity to visit the oldest saltworks in Europe and find out more about salt production, where salt has been produced using the same methods for hundreds of years. Walk through the narrow streets of Ston, which was the second most important town in the Dubrovnik Republic.  After saltworks, continue to Mali Ston, known for its cultivation of shellfish, especially oysters and mussels. Mali Ston is an indispensable destination for true lovers of seafood delicacies. Enjoy an oyster sampling and a delicious lunch at the restaurant Villa Koruna. After lunch, your driver will take you to a winery in a small village on the Pelješac Peninsula, where you will enjoy a nice wine tasting. Pellješac Peninsula is famous for it wines, especally Plavac Mali, a local red grape variety. Plavac Mali covers 90% of all vineyards, while other sorts include a white variety known as Posip and Grk.
