Full description

Interact with elephants at the foot of Phanom Bencha Mountain in an ethical way. Walk with these gentle giants along a stream through the lush green jungle, bath them in mud, and complete this unique experience by cooling off at the 7-level Huay Tho Waterfall.

Escape from the crowds and visit the Elephant Care House, only a 15-minute drive from Krabi Town. The location is surrounded by untouched lush forests and mountain ranges and boasts Krabi’s highest altitude at 1,397 meters above sea level, home to natural wonders like waterfalls, streams, and caves.

The elephants belong to the locals and are treated as a family. A strong belief in human-elephant interaction is what makes Krabi Elephant House so special. You’ll get a life-enhancing experience with these unique animals and learn about them in a natural and relaxed environment.

Walk with the elephants along a stream in the jungle and watch how they take a muddy bath. You can clean the elephant's skin and even take a bath with them. Feed them pineapples, bananas, vitamins, and medicine. Observe these gentle giants as they enjoy their newfound freedom.

At midday, strengthen yourself with a healthy Thai-style meal at the sanctuary prepared by the local cook, so that you will be ready for the afternoon activity. Extend your ethical elephant interaction with a short trek to the 7-level Huay Tho Waterfall, where you can swim under the fall.

A dip in the waterfall ponds is the perfect way to cool off and relax while taking in the surrounding vista of the national park, with its 1,500 fruit trees and tropical flora and fauna. Later, get taken back to your pickup location.

We were picked up from our hotel bang on time and taken to the sanctuary by a poilite chatty fella , on arriving we were welcomed with drinking water and introduced to our guide for the trip , I forget his name , we were invited to help make the elephant feed which helps with their diets etc , after this we fed and mud rubbed the elephants alswsys under the careful watch of the staff who used nothing but speach to control these creatures ( amazing ) after this we went to the clear water where we were able to get in the water waist high and scrub them as they so gently layed or sat while we did so ( what an expirtence , this was followed by a thai lunch and a swim in the near water fall inside like a national park and returned to our hotel very happy dad and Lad , all in all 10 out of 10 .

Unsafe. Broken beer bottles around where you interact with elephants; sending me on the trail alone; felt uncomfortable going into the heavy jungle part to get to the top of the waterfall as I didn’t know what I could or couldn’t touch/if there was anything poisonous I should know about.
