    This is a small and intimate sanctuary with 7 friendly elephants. We had the chance to spend alot of time with Adele who is super gentle and funny. Also got the chance to play with a baby elephant called Tang Mo. Were lucky and got the whole place to ourselves in the morning. Highly recommend!

    The description mentions you will go in a cave but doesn’t mention you will be wading in water potentially up to neck height. The trek through the cave it almost 1km also. It was great fun! But something to consider. Where footwear you don’t mind getting wet and don’t take a big bag as the tour guide only has a small wet bag for everyone’s phones etc. Water is provided. The whole thing was just under 6miles (bike plus cave). Both your guides where fab and day was very well organised. Beware of lunch as some options are very spicey! Our tour guide Nim was so good so even took photos for you throughout the day and sent them by WhatsApp later!

    Begin your day tour with a hotel pick-up in Khao Lak between 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM, and depart for the river. Hop on a bamboo raft and float along the waters, relax and enjoy the stunningly beautiful rainforest around you as your raft is pulled by a local boatman. Visit a sea turtle conservation center working to save and increase the number of sea turtles in the region. The Royal Thai Navy plays an active role in turtle conservation and baby turtles are brought to the center, where they are nursed for 6-8 months before being released into the sea. Lovely day in Khao Sok: hike in the rainforest with a skilled and sympathetic local guide, boat trip on the stunningly beautiful Ratchaprapha Lake ... and then a swim in the lake after a long hot day - wow!
