The tour will be followed by a guided tasting of several wines (depending on the option) from the Margaux appellation.

Afterward, you will have the chance to taste 3 wines in the barrel from the most representative grapes of Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Finally, you will go into the shop to taste 2 finished wines to compare with those tasted previously still in maturation.

Enjoy a wine tasting workshop in a chateau setting in the Margaux wine-growing region. To begin your wine tasting workshop, you’ll be welcomed at the reception of the chateau by your guide, who’ll lead you to where workshop takes place. The fun then begins with the presentation of a set of 6 aromas in small bottles, each to be sampled and remembered. Next, the first wine will be served, with each stage of the wine tasting explained. Your guide will then offer you a second wine very different from the first, explaining what this contrast can tell you about the wines. Following this intensive tasting course, you’ll then be ready for two blind wine tastings. Based on the color, smell, and taste of the wines, you’ll try to determine their vintage and appellation types.
