Park your car and meet your luxury boat at the end of Sorrento Pier, your crew will greet you and welcome you onboard. See Australian Fur Seals resting and playing in the water, visit the Australasian Gannets and seabird colony, Cruise the famous coastal stretch from Sorrento to Portsea and see the famous cliff top homes and the coloured boat sheds of Portsea, and don’t forget to keep an eye out for the resident Bottlenose Dolphins that inhabit our Bay. Our custom-built tour vessels are designed specifically for our area, ensuring comfort plus allowing you the freedom to move around onboard enjoying the view and also exploring the boat. Our sightseeing tour vessel offers large open deck spaces, covered lounge area, onboard cafe and bathrooms. Meet your tour guides at Sorrento Pier, collect your equipment and then board the luxury ‘Moonraker.’ Where you can meet your captain and check in onboard. We throw off the rope as cruise into the sheltered shallow waters of Port Phillip Bay. Once onboard you can relax on the upper sundeck, inside lounge area or taking in the salt air on the front of the boat in a beanbag lounge. As we cruise out into the Bay your snorkel guides will walk you through all the activities, help familiarise you with the boat and all the features and areas to explore and then we gear up and get ready to slid into the water. We visit the Australian Fur Seals and search the coastal locations for the resident dolphins. We love the Australian fur seals and these friendly, fun and inquisitive Seals are just as special as the dolphins. The clear shallow waters surrounding the boat are filled with seals of all ages and sizes, the seal structures often attract small sea stars, giant smooth rays which glide beneath on the seafloor and sometimes spider crabs at one of the structures. You will come face to face with these inquisitive animals and this experience is something that you will remember for life. Once back onboard we serve lunch, hot drinks and snacks ensuring you’re energised and ready for our next snorkel. Once the dolphins are located we observe their behaviour and location before we approach the pod. In small groups of 10, we slide quietly into the water, floating on the surface. We wait, watch and listen for the dolphin's squeaks and whistles to get louder, a sign that they will join us and swim beneath our group. Each and every encounter is totally unique. Being wild and free, Each encounter is entirely based on what the dolphins are doing when located, sometimes they will swim around us for endless minuets and other times they will glide past for a look and continue swimming, We spend as much time with them as possible both swimming and sightseeing but need to ensure we are not changing their behaviour or lifestyle. The dolphins are resident to Port Phillip Bay however they are completely wild and aren’t always located on every cruise. We believe this is part of the experience of seeking out an encounter with wild animals. Should you not see the dolphins on your tour you are welcome to come back for free anytime within 30 days. Join us at Sorrento Pier, collect your snorkelling equipment and set aboard your luxury tour boat for 2 hours of fun and adventure - Snorkelling with the Australian Fur Seals. Arriving at Chinaman's Hat, a structure built just for the seals in Port Phillip Bay, you will take the plunge to swim with these gentle, playful and curious creatures. This sheltered area has a maximum depth of four meters so you can simply float on the surface and watch the seals swim freely around you. See giant Smooth Rays glide beneath you on the sandy seabed, whilst Seals dart back and forth, eager to swim and dive with you. There is so much beautiful marine life to observe. Departing from your chosen pickup location in the area, head first to a marvel of nature set upon the pristine Portsea Beach, the London Bridge Lookout. This unique rock formation is a local attraction not to be missed. Savor the moment as you sail the bay on a ferry and enjoy a regional produce picnic lunch while taking in the serene bay views. The tour continues after lunch with a visit to the St. Andrews Brewery. This craft brewery was once a world-class horse training facility. Here you’ll join the locals for a beer paddle tasting and watch the brewers crafting and pouring great brews right from their stable doors. Next, go up to Arthurs Seat and admire the panoramic views from Murrays Lookout across the bay to the city. The final stop is another iconic local attraction, the Peninsula Bathing Boxes. Found on beaches along the coast of the Mornington Peninsula, these renowned bathing boxes are set against the beautiful backdrop of the blue ocean. This is one scene from the day to be remembered. Finally, return to central Melbourne for drop-off at the Mail Exchange Hotel.

Start the day off with a walk along the spectacular Geelong Waterfront on Bellarine Peninsula. Take the opportunity to breathe in the fresh sea air and scenic views with the locals. After that, you’ll head to the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre to discover Victoria’s largest collection of Aboriginal art and artifacts and greet the local emus and wallabies in a native garden. The next stop along the Bellarine Peninsula will be a stroll around the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse for a fantastic photo opportunity before boarding the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento. Savor the moment of sailing on the bay while enjoying a regional produce picnic lunch onboard. Observe some of the most serene bay views that the coastline has to offer. Set upon the pristine Portsea Surf Beach, you’ll see the London Arch, a unique rock formation and impressive natural wonder. Venture on to St. Andrews Beach Brewery, set among the beauty of the Mornington Peninsula and formerly a world-class horse training facility. Join the locals for a beer paddle tasting, and watch the brewers crafting and pouring great brews right from their stable doors. Next stop at Arthurs Seat to admire the panoramic views from Murrays Lookout across the bay to the city. Finally, take a glimpse into local heritage-protected history and the world-renowned Mornington Peninsula beach boxes. Situated along the coast, these iconic bathing boxes are the area’s symbol of summer and a popular tourist attraction. Enjoy the return trip back to Melbourne after a full day of sightseeing and exploring some of the greatest destinations around the bay.

After a safety briefing and operational overview, participants will be fitted to their waterbike and fitted with lifejackets before departing Sorrento Pier and heading south towards Capel Sound. The tour will continue south following the Millionaire's Walk along the Sorrento to Portsea cliff top and getting an insight into how Melbourne's elite spend time at their summer mansions. This stunning cliff top walk has historic significance as it was the first time the Union Jack was used to claim possession of Australia. Continuing along past Point King Beach and Shelley Beach, we will pull in alongside the Portsea Pier right out front of the huge, Tudor-style pub, The Portsea Hotel. We return towards Sorrento, perhaps accompanied at times by some of the Mornington Peninsulas Bottlenose Dolphins known to frequent this stretch of water and friends of our eco-friendly waterbikes. Giving way to the Queenscliff to Sorrento Searoad Ferries, we will finish back at the Sorrento Pier at the base of the Hotel Sorrento. Join us on our Wildlife Sightseeing Tour on our vessel Maureen .M, where you will meet the friendly (but wild) locals of Port Phillip Bay! Throughout the tour you will watch the playful Australian Fur seals, spot pods of local Burrunan dolphins cruising the bay, be intrigued by the amazing birdlife and marine life around Pope’s Eye and through the winter months you might even spot Humpback whales as they journey past this iconic and historically significant coastline. Our friendly and knowledgeable crew will chat about the incredible wildlife that reside or transit through Southern Port Phillip Bay and shares local history and insights about the region! Spend a day exploring the beautiful coastal landscapes of the Mornington Peninsula. From the wild and rugged beaches of the Southern Ocean to the calm and inviting waters of the Port Phillip Bay. You’ll be picked up at the comfortable time of 10am from your choice of hotel in the city centre. We will then leave the city behind to drive for about 1.5 hours to Mornington Peninsula. As we approach the Peninsula, we’ll start to see the rolling hills, farms and wineries as we make our way to our first stop which is Cape Schanck Lighthouse. We’ll go for a walk down to the rocky beach along a board walk to the rocky beach and take in the crashing waves, beautiful vistas and sounds. We will then drive further to Portsea to check out the stunning London Bridge limestone rock formation on the beach. This is a short walk along the beach to get to London Bridge. We’ll spend some time here, taking photos, and just experiencing the wild beauty of the ocean before walking back to the car. After London Bridge, we stop over at the quaint village of Sorrento for a bite. After lunch, we’ll do a scenic drive through the farmlands to get to the highest peak in the Peninsula , Arthurs Seat. We’ll stop at a couple of the lookouts to get a panoramic view of the peninsula, and then make our way down to the bay side villages, until we get to the beach village of Mount Martha, where the beaches are lined with colourful bathing boxes. We‘ll go for a walk on the beach here so it’s a good opportunity to take your shoes off and feel the sand on your feet. After Mount Martha, we’ll make our way back to the city and arrive back by about 6pm. This is a private tour suited for either a couple or a group of 3 people seated comfortably in a 5 seater vehicle. Food and drinks are not included in the tour price. Need to dress for the weather and bring a bottle of water.
