Bath: Ghost Hunters Silent Disco Guided Tour

2. Bath: Ghost Hunters Silent Disco Guided Tour

Discover the scary side of the historic city Bath, giving you a glimpse into the secrets that lurk behind closed doors with some spooky tunes along the way. Start the tour at Bath Ale House and get kitted out with high-tech headphones. Wearing these will mean that you can hear both the music and the fascinating story of a nameless ghost hunter and their untimely death. In the 1980s, a young ghost hunter came to Bath to document all its restless residents. Sadly, their work was never completed due to their mysterious death. The only certainty that they existed at all is in the two items they left behind: a folder full of their unfinished research notes, and their Walkman, still loaded with the mixtape they were listening to at the time. Follow in their footsteps through the streets of Bath and dance — possibly for your life — to finish the job they started all those years ago. If you are organizing a special event such as a birthday or bachelor/bachelorette party, upgrade to the Private Tour option for an exclusive group experience for between 10-28 participants.

Bath Self-Guided Mystery: The Prince's Stolen Statue

Turn the historic streets of Bath into an exciting outdoor escape room with The Mystery of the Prince's Stolen Statue. Enjoy a self-guided walking tour as you solve the clues, eliminate the suspects, and unmask the mysterious thief behind Bath's most daring robbery. The story starts on August 12, 1812, when the cream of Georgian society was invited to the city of Bath to attend the grandest social event of the decade, the Prince Regent’s 50th birthday party. As a centerpiece for this lavish party, the mayor of Bath planned to present a very special birthday gift to the prince: a priceless golden statue that had recently been uncovered beneath the city’s ancient streets. However, on the night of the party, as the city’s mayor removed the veil, onlookers were stunned to see that the statue had been stolen and replaced by a humble cabbage. As you solve the clues and unravel the mystery, discover Bath's hidden history, visit its most atmospheric taverns, and soak up legendary stories of the city's most notorious characters and places.

From Bath: Private Glastonbury & Hard Cider Tour with Pickup

5. From Bath: Private Glastonbury & Hard Cider Tour with Pickup

Glastonbury is a town steeped in Mystery and Legend. Visit the Abbey and climb the Tor to savour the panoramic views over the Somerset Levels. The walking tour starts from the grounds of the impressive ruined Abbey, which is reputed to be the burial place of King Arthur. According to legend this is also where Joseph of Arimathea arrived with the Holy Grail to establish the first English Christian church. Thereafter, take a leisurely stroll through the town, which is a New Age hangout full of quirky eclectic shops. Alternatively, climb the Tor with your guide. This iconic hill dominates the surrounding landscape and has been a spiritual magnet for centuries, for both Pagans and Christians. The views from the summit are breath-taking and the experience is unforgettable. Enjoy lunch at a traditional country pub before continuing on to an internationally important RSPB Nature Reserve on the Avalon Marshes. Ham Wall is a wetland abounding with wildlife - from rare species like water voles and otters to magnificent birds like bitterns and kingfishers. Take time to follow secluded paths through the mystical landscape, where the extraordinary spectacle of the starling murmurations takes place during the winter months (November - March). Unwind at the end of the day and be entertained by a local (hard) cider-making legend. Roger. He and his family have been producing “proper traditional cider” from their Somerset farm for more than a century. Sample his award-winning ciders and even some of his incredible cheeses. This-door-to-door service will transport you through the English countryside and return you to Bath at the end of a memorable day.

What people are saying about Somerset

Went with my girlfriend and didn’t know what to expect, but had read some previous reviews. It was really well done, perfect balance of a bit of history, seeing some sights and having a laugh. The tour guide was really engaging and got people involved in a not to cringey way! Would do it again in another location, interested in the York one next time. Definitely recommend. Thank you Mrs Vile, our tour guide!

What on earth else do you do on other ghost tours? Make small talk? The 80’s playlist was on point! The tour was educational and fast paced with lots of points on interest along the way. We even had a great walk through ‘Bridgerton’ and was amazed by the beautiful Georgian architecture.
