The guides will show you how to use this equipment and there will be time to stop for a snack and water.  Hike for about 3 hours to the summit of Snæfellsjökull. On clear days the view is beautiful over the peninsula. Depending on your inclination, stop at around 1400 m or adventure all the way up to 1446 m. What people are saying about Snæfellsnes

Our guides Bergur and Lisa were absolutely great, very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, we didn't make it all the way to the top, but this was not due to our guides. Nevertheless, we got a great insight into the ascent of a glacier and I can only recommend it to everyone to have done it once! The ascent was okay and absolutely feasible from the exertion - and we are really not great athletes. But then you should expect one or two "problems" in your legs the next day, which is definitely worth it. The landscape was beautiful and we were able to enjoy one of the few sunny days on the ascent. The view from above is fantastic and can hardly be captured with a camera because it really overwhelms you. Conclusion: The guides were an 11 out of 10 and it is more than recommendable!

Loved our guide who was patient with requests and stops. He gave great recommendation for lunch! In spite of running around we did not have enough time to see some of the sights on the list so I think it’s better to tour Snaefellsness in two days rather than one.

Ragnar was an excellent tour guide! It felt like we were touring with a local friend.
