Put on your hiking boots and join the tour group on a wonderful hike to one of the most beautiful peaks in Iceland. Snæfellsjökull is a glacier-covered volcano located on Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west of Iceland and stretching 1446 m above sea level. Stop to put on glacier gear, crampons, harness, ice axes, and ropes. The guides will show you how to use this equipment and there will be time to stop for a snack and water.  Hike for about 3 hours to the summit of Snæfellsjökull. On clear days the view is beautiful over the peninsula. Depending on your inclination, stop at around 1400 m or adventure all the way up to 1446 m. It is a steep slope to the top of the peak that is protected with ropes. Spend some time at the summit to eat some lunch and take in the stunning views. Great experience to visit a large part of the southern and western part of Iceland in winter atmosphere in 4 days. We are glad that we let ourselves be driven and did not go out with a car ourselves. The wintry weather was not appealing to drive yourself and you meet a lot of other nationalities. Of course, the special nature in Iceland also helped a lot. Highly recommended.

My guide, Hinrik from Troll Expeditions made the trip so fun and memorable. Despite bad weather and him falling sick, he always found something to make up for it and keeping us all safe. o definitely recommend this tour if you want adventure and seeing most of Iceland.

Amazing day with breathtaking views and great memories. Tom, our guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining, and a great driver considering the strong wind and snow! Excellent transportation, very comfortable, and a good pace. Would highly recommend.

We asked the guide if he can show us some waterfall, although the trip didn’t include one. He gladly showed us some amazing ones

The stops were very good and the guides were excellent. We had a great time.
