Learn the local legends and see a local seal colony up close and personal. Begin your trip in the local town of Borgarnes. Grab some snacks before heading to the peninsula and try to catch a peak of the ice-capped Snaefellsjokull stratovolcano. Arrive at the Berserkjahraun lava field, and learn the origin of its name. Picture next, Kirkjufell, famously known for its role on the "Game of Thrones" television show, and for being the most-photographed mountain in the entire country. Reach the top and be rewarded by the stunning views of this 3000 year old feat of nature. Learn local legends, and the history of the strong Icelandic ancestry. Venture into the uninhabited settlement of Djupalonssandur, and test your strength like local men used to on the beach. Head to the fishing village of Arnarstapi and witness the beautifully eroded cliffs and the sculpture of Barour Snaefellsas. Discover a deeper understanding of Icelandic history at Budakirkja, or the "Black Church." View historical artifacts from the 19th century, all thanks to a woman named Steinunn. Find yourself at last at the enchanting golden-colored beach of Ytri-Tunga. Witness a huge seal colony, laying on the rocks and enjoying the sun. This trip is exactly what it promises to be: a well-planned and well-executed full day excursion to a beautiful place rich not only in breathtaking sceneries but also in culture and history, all of which are extremely enoyable in the company of all the nice people and the friendly, funny, smart guide I met. I can only recommend it to anyone interested in Icelandic culture, nature, and the stories they still tell - either in the form of the unforgettable saga-sites or as some notable places for film-shootings recognized by many people all around the world. All the stops are valuable (with context provided by the guide) and there are never too great distances between them, which makes this trip perfect for all ages. The bus gives enough comfort to enjoy this trip even in bad weather, but nothing is comparable to the minutes when the sun comes out every now and then to accompany the travellers on their magical journey through one of the most astonishing places of Earth.

Absolutely gorgeous tour!! So many incredible views, all the waterfalls, the black beach, the rocks, everything was so picturesque and beautiful. It was also a very peaceful and relaxing tour. We got to see everything and had enough time at all locations. Our guide and driver HBO was very nice and entertaining. He played amazing Icelandic music during the drives to the locations, and it was a very nice touch! Would 100% recommend!!!!

Definitely worth the visit and a great variety of things to see, from hidden waterfalls, craters and stunning cliffs and beaches. Also the value for money was really good and we enjoyed traveling with a small group for people. Special thanks to our guide Chris for the advice that we could catch the northern lights, and for his knowledge and sense of humour that really enhanced the experience!

I quite liked the tour. We had quite a few spots on the tour in different locatioms so we saw quite a bit. Julien was our tour guide and he was very good- he stopped for us to take a couple pics of horses too. My advice will be to take loads of snacks as lunch break is around 3pm. Also, North Iceland is say colder than Reykjavik so gloves and hats (even in May weather).

Matey or Matt was our guide! He was very informative and made the day very enjoyable! The tour was well spaced and we had enough time for photos and sightseeing on our own! Thank you :)
