What people are saying about Sintra
Very good concept, indeed it is worth taking the city pass (very quickly profitable between the price of public transport and visits). In addition, it allows reduced queues, in fact there is a normal queue to buy tickets and another to go to the monument, with the city pass there is another small queue to convert the city pass into a ticket (for the Belem tower in particular, for the monastery there is no need to have a ticket) Lisbon a very beautiful city in any case
The Lisboa Card is a very useful tool to visit and move around the city. The means of transport (trams, metro and buses) work very well and it takes very little to get from one district to another. In addition, the card allows free admission to many museums, panoramic points and other tourist attractions and offers convenient discounts.
Great idea to get the Lisbon Card. We made the purchase in advance so that we could pick it up at the kiosk at the airport and thus take the metro to get to the hotel. Many trips made by metro, train and tram and several visits included which allowed us to visit many places during our short stay of 5 days.
Wonderful place. Tip: Plan to arrive early. We had booked our tickets for the opening and were able to fully enjoy the visit before the crowds arrived. Afterwards, visit the nearby Moorish castle. We ended with a visit to Quinta da Regaleira. An unforgettable day !
It was an amazing experience. The site is gorgeous and there is a lot to explore. It was a hike to get up there. I highly recommend getting there early at 10am or later at 4:30 or so to avoid crazy lines to get in and to get into the Palace.
