Start your tour with pickup from your hotel in Bucharest. First, travel north to the 17th century Sinaia Monastery inspired by a church in Mount Sinai. Then, visit the splendid Peles Palace, the summer residence of Carol I, one of the greatest Romanian Kings. The next stop will be the Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle, due to it being famously associated with Dracula legend. You’ll travel from Bucharest to Sinaia on this full-day excursion that takes you through one of the most beautiful valleys in Romania. Visit Peles Castle, once the summer residence of Romanian kings, and now home to one of the country’s most important museums. The Castle dates from the late 19th century, and has 160 opulently decorated rooms. It is the final resting place for several Romanian monarchs, including King Carol I, who died here in 1914, as well as King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. Stopping at a mountain pass, you’ll have lunch in a typical Romanian village overlooking a small river. Continue on to Rasnov Citadel, built to help defend the villages of Transylvania. Visit medieval Bran Castle, popularly known as Dracula’s Castle. Bran Castle was built in the mid-14th century on a rock standing 60 meters high. It features 4 towers with walls made of stone blocks, and its rooms and narrow corridors form a mysterious labyrinth of ghostly nooks and secret chambers. In the inner courtyard there are artesian wells, connected to an underground network.
