Full description
Discover this medieval city on a 2-hour guided walking tour. Your fascinating discovery of such a beautiful city will start from the stunning Piazza del Campo, dominated by the imposing Palazzo Pubblico. Next, visit the contrada's museum and oratory and experience Siena's authentic atmosphere. The Contrade are the districts that make up the town and act as a core of local social life; each contrada has its own traditions, flag, anthem and more. The Museum of the Contrada and its oratory house a wealth of wonderful relics, including historical documents, works of art and artifacts of the famous Palio, (a horse race held twice each year), in honor of the assumption of Mary. The tour ends by the gorgeous Cathedral, located in the highest point of the city. Those who wish can include in their visit the guided tour of its gorgeous interiors and Libreria Piccolomini. When the contrada's museum and oratory are not accessible, you will visit another site of particular historic and cultural interest.

    City jewel with impeccable guide.

Our guide led our group composed of French and German with remarkable fluidity, a pity that I no longer remember the name of the woman who guided us .. Very precise and theatrical in her visit, she knew how to share her love for us this magnificent city of Siena, sometimes in German, sometimes in French without any problem. Siena is a splendid city, its breathtaking cathedral. A city gem.

    ATTENTION German tour bilingual!

Unfortunately, a complete coach did not arrive at the meeting point until 20 minutes late. The tour was then carried out in two languages (French and German). With 6 participants (German) and a bus full of French, this was not optimal. With a lot of information there was a long explanation in French and in German only a short sentence. The guide was easy to understand and tried hard.

A walk from tower to cathedral.

We met with a large group of English, French ,Spanish. The guide spent about 40 minutes explaining the square horses etc. In three different languages. People got bored started wandering around. The museum was not open we waited 30 minutes. Some people walked off. Got to the Cathedral with tickets short tour then left. This cost £75 This is not good. Needs to be sorted.
