We enjoyed our tour. It was confusing to meet just outside the wall in Siena. We walked about 30 mins. from the Campo to get there. A meet at Independence Sq instead would make more sense. There were about 15 of us waiting at the little (sandwiches, desserts, pizza, etc.) "bar." We were divided into 2 groups & put in small minivans. There were 7 in ours...a great size. Driver spoke well, was very informative and nice. He drove very fast on the highway and weaved in and out a LOT. I asked him to PLEASE slow down. He just commented that it was the Italian way. He didn't really slow down til we were returning to Siena. Others just suggested we all keep talking amongst ourselves so we don't notice his driving. The stops were GREAT. We stopped in a small town first (58 inhabitants?). VERY quaint. 20 mins. here. Stopped in San Gimignano about 5P(?). It takes 20-25 mins. to walk from front to back gate (not 10 mins. driver said). Lots of quaint shops...old walled city...nice.

This was a tour of several sites including a Chianti wine tasting which we enjoyed. We were a little disappointed that it was almost dark by the time we reached San Gimignano as we were looking forward to seeing the town but it does get dark shortly after 5:00 pm in November which we didn’t realize when booking the tour.

We really enjoyed this tour! It was great to take the bus ride through the Tuscan countryside and it was a good amount of time to stop at each location. The wine tour was great and provided an opportunity to taste and learn about olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as wine. Our guide Elena was very knowledgeable and provided the best gelato recommendation in San Gimignano. I think the timing works better in the summer as we went at the end of October so by the time we arrived at San Gimignano it was later in the evening and starting to get dark.
