Split: Krka National Park with Entry Ticket and Wine Tasting

1. Split: Krka National Park with Entry Ticket and Wine Tasting

If you have a couple of days in the Split and Trogir area this could be a trip that you are looking for. Krka National Park is one of two Croatian National Parks that contain lakes and waterfalls. You will be taken to 2 locations of exceptional natural value inside of the National Park with an included boat ride down the river canyon. Meet in Split or Trogir and take a 1 hour and 30 minutes drive to Entrance Lozovac as this is the best place to start the 2km walk around the Skradinski Buk waterfall. Pass through the old water mill system as your guide explains part of the history and traditions in this area. Then continue this amazing walk on the wooden pathway with little lakes and waterfalls everywhere around. This truly is one of the most preserved ecosystems in Croatia. After 2 hours and 30 minutes at Skradinski Buk, continue your journey with a boat ride down the river canyon to your second location inside of the National Park, the lovely little town of Skradin. In this lower part of the stream, you have an opportunity during the hot summer days to cool down with a nice swim in Skradin. And last but not least a special surprise for those who love some good local food and wine. Only a 10-minute drive from our swimming spot we have a little village called Plastovo known for a few beautiful local family foods and wine stops. Next, enjoy some wine tasting, learn about its production and history, and taste some of the local specialties that the family offers. A total of 5 hours inside of the Krka National Park at two locations with exceptional views and scenery, boat ride, swimming inside of Skradin, and an extra visit to local family food and wine tavern (agrotourism). A relaxing day outside of the city that everyone will enjoy. Finish our day with a drive on the highway back to Trogir and Split.

Amazing trip. The ride to the park allows you to see more of the country. Once in the park, the boardwalk allows you to send your way through the beautiful forests with small glimpses of the water cascading down over the rocks. At the end you are able to see the largest part of the waterfall which is breathtaking. A boat ride takes you downriver to a quaint town to explore and swim.

Definitely worth doing this as a tour. Doing it yourself can be very long and tiresome. This way you get to see the waterfalls, get a boat ride through the river and do a wine tasting at a beautiful family run vineyard. Also, we didn't know but you can no longer swim in the Krka river so just be aware of that.

Thank you very much for a great day! Darijo is an excellent guide who knows how to combine humor and very interesting explanations. He is very attentive, caring. Everything went perfectly.

It was a beautiful tour, nice to get an explanation from a guide, to be able to swim for a while and then a nice wine tasting!! Had a nice day.

We loved the tour. Jose, not sure of the spelling was an excellent tour guide
